Nico Sanft I've been listening to this album for almost 10 years now – and still love it like day one. Simply fantastic stuff. The new mixes sound absolutely stunning! Favorite track: Swimming With Dolphins.

I am starting to leave up and down, in between some cracks in the sky where am I? I'm following... right into...? I hope you're an angel I know you're not Bring me back to home I won't find the way alone Get me out of here I disappear

I lurched out of a door, in a garden and looked into the sky confused stars and a red shining moon through an interstellar fog everything old and worn As I stood there I spread out my arms and let myself go the gravity cut off and I started to float up in the air all of the sudden a bright, silver flashlight took me out of this world

about

Eleven years ago, on August 25th, 2011, I released Lost At Sea for the first time. I called myself Splitter, was only 17 years old and unluckily my life went so wrong that I went through enough stuff to write a concept album about being lost between heaven and earth. Over the years it turned out I have produced some fairly good and timeless tracks back then. Unfortunately, I was too stupid to think timeless or even forward-looking. A month after I released Lost At Sea, my hard drive had a head crash and I didn't make backups. I no longer had access to my project files, only the wav-files on a burned CD remained. And Lost At Sea wasn't my first, it was already my third album...

I started to learn mixing properly in 2016 during the production of Altfeld. And the better I got the worse my old, badly mixed music sounded to me. In 2020 I paid a ridiculous amount of money to restore my old hard drive in a data laboratory. Immediately after tales of a beautiful life was finished, I sat down with the old project files from Lost At Sea and was quite amazed at how I, a little 17-year-old dork, was able to produce this complex, detailed music on the one hand and on the other screwed up the mixing and mastering phenomenally.

So, this isn't a normal remastered edition, which a record-label anniversary after anniversary assigns in order to milk a successful hit album without making a single, really noticeable change. No, this is a re-release no one asked for, which was super unsuccessful on the first release and doesn't contain a single hit. But for that it’s a reissue, which drastically improves the audio quality from the original. I went through every single audio track, instrument, effects tool on Lost At Sea and gave it the audio quality that this fantastic album deserves.
